He certainly is a worthy hero and great to see a pub in his name but I bet it’s his other inventions that will have got his name on there like the hydraulic press, toilet flush valve and of course, most apt of all, his hydraulic beer pumping system.
Amazing that we should think of him every time we have a draught pint in any pub really, as without him the beer wouldn’t be going anywhere from the kegs down in the cellar- now that’s gotta be worth celebrating with a pint…or three.!
