You need not start another thread here. You have a Diebold “Eagle” lock and I think the brass ring you speak is the drive wheel or cam which threads onto the spindle. Mount the lock back the safe and reinstall the dial ring. Measure the distance from the outside to the rim of the wheel post inside. I probably have the parts you need. Doug
