Doug MacQueen After several failures, I have finally made a complete casting of a key lock body, in bronze. Learning how to do sand casting on your own is not easy, although you tube is big help. There is much to know and it can be very exasperating. It also can be dangerous. Here are some pictures of my home made melting furnace and my most recent success. I started by making a wood model, which is buried in between two open faced wood frames, and then removed. The molten metal is poured in and fills the cavity, completely if all goes right. Doug
