York Safe With Two S&G Locks

Bought this around 1970 for $150.00 This included reseting the two locks and moving to my house. I have some pictures on the original post and wonder if they can be uploaded here as well?

I don’t plan on selling as I use it but I am interested to see if it might have increased in value. While not perfect, I think it is good enough to not need restoration. Most people seem to prefer original if it isn’t a total mess.

That is a nice looking safe, I enjoyed looking at the pics., thanks. I really like the interior design and the symmetry of the inter safe over the three drawers. I don’t know, just a nice look.
Value wise - I’m sure its increased.

Thank you for your nice comment! I am not a collector but when I saw this in the used furniture store, it just appealed to me and the price was good!

Take a look at the products we are being offered from China; Taiwan; India etc and notice just how different they are from your Safe. It was (1) Made in America, (2) made by craftsmen, (3) who cared about their work.
About the only other place you can find a comparison is the vintage tractor shows where the prices have skyrocketed in the past decade. One valuable lesson learned by the tractor collectors is that they can get much more money for an original non-restored item. Your safe should continue to increase in value — left in its original condition.
