jdavis Pat. dates: July 20, 1875-Sept. 25, 1877-Aug 7, 1877- Nov. 13, 1877 Glass cover is intact, contains only one 72 hr. movement and has no key. Need help with the value in order to sell. Thank you in advance for your help.
timelock Hello, I am a new member that collects time locks, it would appear to me that you could value what you have at about $500, I am also a buyer looking for four movement time locks. Hope this helps- Bob
jdavis Bob, thank you your post, which has helped me very much. I have included an attachment of a Diebold Triple Time, which will be listed soon on my Etsy site. I am also a beginner here and would appreciate your input for this lock as to it’s value. Thank you jdavis
timelock Hello, You do have a Diebold time lock. Looking at the small photos it is a little hard to tell much, but I can tell you that there are a few condition issues. The left and the right movements did not return to zero as they should have. It would appear that the glass is missing from the door by the dullness or tarnish on the door bottom and is visible inside also. You may not know that the case is gold plated. I have a two movement that is real early and also a three movement. I collect any four movement time locks and would like to bid on the S&G you plan on selling, I am not familiar with the site you made reference to in your last posting. Bob
jdavis Bob You are correct about the glass door missing and the movements. I did not know the case is gold plate, thanks. I have 3 S&Gs posted on this site and assume you are inquiring about the 4 movement listed here for bidding. Etsy.com is a site for selling vintage, antique and handmade items and priced to sell. If you would like to make me an offer on the lock, please contact me at moulage58@gmail.com. If you would like to check out my shop on Etsy go to The Junk Broker by lalastent on Etsy Thanks jdavis
timelock Thanks for the info, I am registered on Esty. The three movement Diebold value will depend on whether or not you are able to make it more presentable without affecting the patina. The last Diebold I bought was a two movement and I paid $500 because it has a rare art deco design on it.
jdavis This Diebold has, I believe, the art deco design you were referring to. It is quite unique. Sounds like you are familiar with metal restoration. Best I leave this one to the buyer. I was going to list this lock for $350.00,as is and then there are the fees from listing down to paypal. You may have this lock for $300.00. Hope this helps. Thanks jdavis
timelock I sent you an email to your personal email address, you might check to see if you received it. I would like to purchase the S&G four movement time lock you have, let me know how you want to proceed-
Doug MacQueen Usually a good cleaning and oiling solves the premature stopping on these time lock movements. The missing glass contributes to these problems. PM me if you are interested in having replacement glass installed and the movements cleaned. In a former life I did bank time lock maintenance. Doug
