Found lock

I found a lock on the side of a mountain which is where part of the Revolutionary War took place. I don’t think this lock is that old, but even as just an antique lock, is it worth anything? There is no key.

Hey Lindsey, What you have is a early 1900’s (10-20’s?), Eagle brass lever with iron shackle. One in fair to good condition would probably ebay for 10 to 20 dollars. Yours is in less than fair condition and I don’t think it would get any interest above a couple bucks. Sorry it’s not quite the gem you may have been hoping for… don’t ever stop looking…

That actually isn’t too bad of news I guess lol. I didn’t grab it when I saw it and I have been kicking my self wondering if I should have and if I should go back for it. Thanks for your info!
