Hello,
I am currently restoring a french longcase clock dating form around 1675. I am having difficulty locating a lock to replace the one which is missing.
Using a case in a museum and voids in the case as a guide I can see the body of the lock fits into the side of the case with a link plate fitting to the door. The link plate has a very simple single loop rather than the solid two projections found in modern locks.
Could anybody help with indformation on where I might find on or get one made?
