help identifying a lock

Hello All,

I’ve an old lock which I would like to know more about. You can see it in the photos attached. The lock bottom is flat so it can be attached to any flat surface, such as a box, and it has a latch.
I really would like to find more like it but I don’t even know how it is called. Does it have a technical name? Can anyone tell me where could I find more locks with the same sistem or a similar one?

It looks like a briefcase lock. Without a size I can’t say for sure but it sure looks like one.

The size is app. 1.2 × 1.5 inches (3×4 cm). Indeed the system seems the one from a briefcase although I’ve never seen a briefcase with such an old lock.
Does it has a special name?
