I am looking to meet up with any members & collecters in the Toronto GTA area to take a look at my collection of old wooden locks, prison keys from the old Brampton prison (now been rebuilt), old keys, padlocks, & some old door hardware from England, some items will possibly for sale. Why not hold a lock show? Find a hall that is almost free and have tables and if there are enough paying (Say $10 door fee and $4 for preregistered) then have some food. You will find out in a hurry if there are other lock collectors near you.

Hi Peter:

Looking forward to viewing the locks and keys.
The Wooden Locks sounds like plate locks,
that is Bridge Warded locks mortised into a
hardwood block. Sometimes the strike plate
would be chiseled out of the stone door frame.
That is why some old Locksmith logo’s had a
rock hammer included in it.
