Hi, I’m new to this forum, in fact I haven’t used any forums before and am unsure how to use them. Anyway what I want is some information on an old key I found at my house in France which we are renovating. I have been told that it is a 14th century dutch key. The property isn’t a chateau or anything, it was just a ruin when we bought it, it had never been more than a cottage. Has anyone any ideas why this large old would be in a cottage in a very small hamlet in the south west of france. I have pictures of the key if anyone is interested in seeing them.
