Your correct,it’s a Mallory and Wheeler Co. lock. These style locks are often refered to as “Smoke House” locks as they were a inexpensive lock used alot on tobacco plantations to lock up the tobacco drying houses. Dating these locks is hard to do,but I would think late 1800’s to early 1930’s. As far as value goes,they don’t command high prices ($20-$30) tops in good shape,maybe a little more if they have the origional working key. The problem you see most often with these locks is the insides are rusted out. I still buy working ones at flea markets when I find them cheap enough,they are kind of neat. Mark
