koneand I acquired a Vintage Mechanics Chest at Auction from the Spencerville Ontario Area in Canada. I am going to use the chest as a coffee table. There is something inside. Would appreciate assistance in identifying the lock and then what key to open. I thankyou in advance for any assistance.
Dean Nickel It looks like the center post is broken off in the lock that the key would turn on. So someone might have tried to break into this already. If you don’t want damage done you might have a locksmith open it. Lever locks are not that simple to open most of the time.
fireguy hi there sounds like a great idea, I recently saw a coffee table made out of a withers and son safe door, it looked very cool, I am thinking about making one for myself. Dave
