As to the lock itself, interesting indeed I never knew that Yale made such locks in Canada. I would however treat the applied plaque with a degree of skepticism until or unless it can be proven genuine. Major customers of Yale ordered locks with their name precast into the body, of simply added their own stampings - such a plate is more commonly seen where a fradulent, fake or fantasy item has been created.
I expect others with more knowledge that I will be able to provide better information.
