Jeff,Nice lock! You asked for information, but it seems that you already know quite a bit about it. These were sold aftermarket thru auto dealers to secure the spare tires that were mounted either on the rear bumper or front fender. There were several different companies that made spare tire locks around this time period (20’s-30’s). Yours is in very good shape especially having the origional working key. Like Dean said and I agree,it’s very collectable. However I myself collect mainly padlocks so I’m not really interested in buying it. I would think that you would have a better chance of getting the most money from it selling it to a antique car collector. I would think it should be worth at least $30 and probably a lot more. What more information were you looking for? Mark
