Hi. I have just run across a lock that was my great grandfathers. On the front of the lock is the word Venus and a half a moon and a star. On the back of the lock is the name Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. and New Britain, Conn. I am interested in the history of the company and approximately when this may have been made. It came with two keys, however the lock will not open. I have tried pushing down and pulling up ..any suggestions? Thanks for any help/info you may be able to provide.
