Hi All,
I’ve been collecting keys for a while now (mostly all of the good ones I inherited from my father) and while going through more of his things, I discovered this lock. I don’t even know what you’d call it. It seems that I remember it a tiny bit and that someone somewhere called it a luggage lock. You push the forked blade in a slot and it closes a v-shaped spring and the whoe mechanism slides out of one end. I’ve tried “push-slide lock”, “blade key lock”, and every other variation and possibility I could think of - and have failed miserably. Can anyone tell me anything? It’s not even 2″ long and I’m pretty sure it’s brass. It has has a tiny etching on one side (flower and vine). I’d appreciate any info at all!
Thanks so much!!!
