Fraim Automatic Padlock

Hello everyone

Found this forum while searching the internet for information about this padlock. I found this last year while metal detecting and had not though much about it. I was able to find the pat. information but my lock says Automatic not Keystone. I also found a youtube post with the lock in a video.

Can anyone give me any more information about this lock and an estimated value in its condition.

Value is in the eye of the beholder. Outside of that there are a few things that affect value. One is that if the lock works. If you found this you more than likely don’t have the key. So getting a key for this might be a good idea. If it does work it is worth much more than without. I don’t know how common this lock is so I will let others comment on that, but it will affect the value.

Thanks for the reply. Sure enough I don’t have the key. When I’m back at Grandma’s house where I found it I’ll have to check around the spot where I found it but don’t think its happening. Maybe if it is something special I’ll see about getting a key made for it.
