Any Information Re: Padlock and key

I was in Athens, Greece last week and I picked up this padlock at the local flea market. Can anyone give me any information regarding this lock and key? Time period it was made?

Looks like a hand made lock that could have been made today or 100 years ago in that part of the world. The methods of lock making in some parts of the world have not changed in several hundred years. Unless there is a name on the lock we can’t give you more information.

A picture of the key might help firm up what type of lock ie Lever or warded.

The style of bow is typical of the stuff being made in India today. The thickness of the plates also suggests very new but made to look old. In other words a modern fake / fantasy lock trying to look like an antique.

So the lock is probably a fake..oh well. I still like it. 🙂
