macs_07 I have had this padlock for some time (actually two of them) it was found and purchased in Melbourne Australia. It is not a locally made padlock and the markings don’t ring a bell in relateing to anything local. It is classic American style padlock - key retaining -keyed alike. Does anyone out there rcognise it. Thanks in advance
Paul Prescott I’ve seen locks of the same pattern, with the same markings on the escutcheon made by Chubb for the South African Railway ?
macs_07 That’s out of left field, I must admit I have seen some of those padlocks and they are usually maked as made by Chubb. By the same token most of the padlocks made in the USA are also marked by the manufacturer and at times a patent etc.
