LaurenDSM , , My name is Lauren, I am the office manager for a car lot in MS. We have this very large safe in our office & would like to get it open & use it. We rent our office and the landlord left this safe in the office bc it is too large and problematic to move it. He has no knowledge of the safe’s history or combination. Any information provided would be helpful. I have had no luck on the internet. All I have been able to find out is that York Safe & Lock Co. has been closed for quiet some time. One individual told me that it was most likely 1890-1930 with a three prong locking mechanism that wouldnt be able to be replaced if we drilled the safe. Doug MacQueen That appears to be an early HHM made shortly after the merger. Can you post a clear close up of the dial and the wheel castor frames? Doug
wylk To me the left-door handles appear tapered while the right-door handles are straight. Does this suggest a repair some time in its past?
Doug MacQueen Here is one I opened that is very similar. Locate a safe tech with a scope and I can email him a picture of the lock and how I opened it. Doug
