looking for info on this old corbin lock

I found this old lock in my grandpaws shead and it works just fine I was just looking to see if anyone knew anything about it and maybe some kinda time frame and if it has any value at all……… it also has SX25 stamped on the top of it…thanks

This looks like an old Railway switch lock. It is in too good of condition to have been used outdooors for any great length of time (there is still a lot of original finish on it). I am not sure of the age, but as to value…..my guess is, with a good working key, it is worth up to about $30.00-$35.00 given the condition. Nice lock…..congrats on your find.

thanks mike…im goin to go back and get some more theres about a 100 more dif locks out there that were his and my great grandfathers so when i get some more ill post them and see if u can help me out some more thanks Jason

I agree, it looks like a railroad lock. With a little luck, it might be worth more than $30 to $35. Perhaps $50 might be a good starting point. You should place your return trip high on your priority list. It sounds like you might have a great collection. Be sure and save ALL of the keys that you can find….. Good Luck ….. jgeo
