New member, old lock

I stumbled accross an old lock up here in southern alberta. Its an NE Plus Ultra with flat (apparently hand hammered) shackle. It caught my eye above anything else in the old junk shop. This led me to looking at more locks on the internet, and the lock picking hobby. And here i am.
Does anyone have information on this old padlock or its makers?

Which may be hard, because here in alberta you go to jail if you have a pick tool in the house. We’re sort of like Russia up here.
But i’m just starting at this, and i like locks, so maybe i’ll come up with something.

Your Ne Plus Ultra is a warded padlock most likely made in the US sometime between 1900 and 1940. The maker is unknown. Typically at collector shows similar locks will sell for $5 to $15.
