Resignation

Hello everyone,

I hereby resign from this forum and wish all my posts as also my pictures to be deleted.

Recent events have forced me to make this decision and I am not happy with it. I am just disappointed by several people and how they wrongly interpreted a recent post of mine (on another forum). I never intended to harm or insult anyone. On the other hand I feel insulted and mobbed. Persons have questioned my posts instead of setting an example against mobbing and against the use of improper manners and words. In my opinion this is just wrong and it is also a bad example for further generations to come. As I do not want the wrong signals to be send I am taking the right step in resigning from this forum.

I have to thank Brian since he was inspiring and always there for me.

I am really sorry to see you go Adrian. I don’t really understand why, but I am sure that you have good reasons.
The internet is a big and dodgy place but it is communities like we have here, that make it so beneficial.
When things blow over, I hope that you can find your way back here and you will be welcomed back. Not all websites are the same.
We do spend a lot of Brian’s money and our time, providing this free site, without adverts, dedicated to sharing knowledge. Part of the deal (clearly stated) is that the knowledge contributed will always remain there for everyones benefit (and also because of the difficulty and work involved in removing it from here and the history of locks site. It just isnt really practical I am afraid. I hope that isnt a big problem for you

Tom is correct that the terms were clear in what happens to posts here. That is why the ability to edit is only in the hands of the moderators (We can’t delete either, only soft delete) and delete is only in the hands of the Admin.

I’m a bit baffled as to why something that happened on another forum should affect this one, and I am glad that any pictures uploaded and posts made will stay on here for the benefit of other users…

As many of you may already noticed and after Brian and myself had an extensive and interesting conversation. I decided to rejoin and leave the past behind me 🙂
