Hello from Wisconsin. Isn’t it great? There are forums for dang near anything you can think of. Live here in the Upper Midwest as an officer and although I can’t say that I have any former interest in locks, keys, etc, I love old things and enjoy metal detecting. Find some cool stuff now and then.

Here’s why I joined the forum.

I purchased a 1970 Harley Davidson recently from an old friend. The motorcycle had belonged to his grandfather who passed away. I am trying very hard to keep the motorcycle period correct.

One of the items I have in the saddlebag was a MASTER LOCK NO. 6 brass padlock. The key code is stamped on the bottom of the lock as: A437….. Is there anyone on the forum here who has or can provide me direction on where I could find a key for it? No doubt many ions ago, the grandfather locked up his motorcycle with it. I have polished the lock up and the brass looks awesome. It would be a disappointed not to be able to find a key for it.

Any and all help locating a key for the padlock would be greatly appreciated.

Any locksmith should be able to cut that key by that code. It comes up valid in my data so there shouldn’t be any problem.
