need help identifing this padlock ? like an 803 but NOT
looked in 1884-1908-1913-did not locate this padlock ?

Yes Nathan, it does look similar to the No. 803 1-½″ size “Ironsides” model as shown in top image of thumbnail attached from Yale & Towne Cat. No. 26 © 1929, pg. 8. The bottom image is of the No. 805 2″ size “Ironsides”.

Hi Nathan,

After sending you the PM I got to thinking and remembered a lock with the same mechanism. It is a lock supplied in fairly large quantities to the Peoples Gas, Light and Coke Co. You can find an image of it on my museum site 1st-net-lock-museum.com in the non-Best logo section, page 9, item R. http://www.1st-net-lock-museum.com/nb9.htm
The model was evidently discontinued because they (PGL&C) went to a different model which can be found on page 6, item N.
