I found this lock many years ago when working on a summer job cleaning storm sewers. I don’t see any markings on it that provide any clues to helping me determine where the lock was made and by what company. Can anyone tell me what this lock might be? Also, can anyone suggest a safe product to use to clean the black crud from the lock so that I can determine if there are any markings that would help identify the maker and timeframe the lock was produced?
