saijinte I have two brass padlocks—- A133 and B2260. I get them in Germany. Can anyone advise me on it’s rarity, use, and value?
mhmh I think they were used to seal something - e.g. for customs purposes - and allowed the additional use of wire seals. Some other examples are e.g. listed here: http://www.antique-padlocks.com/seal_a-l.htm Not 100% sure if this is related, but an apparently wealthy metalworker (maybe locksmith?) in Berlin by the name of C.F.A.
