The padlock as I show above was the first time seen it. As was made from Yale Company just wonder of what the model series number or part number if there it any. I have found another padlock from last year on E-Bay as this was also first time seen it is an rare unusual Oval Yale Padlock and I know there hard to get information on this padlock. I think is was sold to about $70.00.
Timothy, you’re right – what an unusual padlock! I’ve never seen anything like it. However, it wasn’t actually manufactured by Yale. It appears to be a typical Yale cylinder lock converted into a padlock. The cyrilic writing on the back indicates that it came from Russia. It says Tsena, 2 rubles, 40 kopeks. Putting the price on the lock case is characteristic of the Soviet era.
