Silly question?

Hi all,

Might me a silly question, but I’m now to locks. I have a Squire ‘Old English’ 660 padlock, with no key. The shackle is open, but the lock is in the locked position. I’m thinking about taking it to the locksmith to see if he can make a new key. Would he be able to do it on this type of lock? I ask as I don’t want to drive down there, with the fuel & car park only for him to turn around & say ‘You may as well buy a new one’ I might as well. lol. But I hate top throw something away that could still work..

The Squire 660 is a long running padlock model. The modern versions use a pin key, the older vintage versions use a pipe key. Any good locksmith can make up either of these keys for little more than the cost of a key.
