Miller combo padlock "standard time"

Miller combination lock numbered 1-60 and 12 o’clock to 1159, ssn# a17436, made in USA pat. Applied for. No combo. Any info? Or combo dialing procedure?

The dialing procedure is like a safe lock.

turn dial counterclockwise 3x to first #
turn dial clockwise 2x second #
turn dial counterclockwise 1x stopping on last #
turn clockwise slowly till stops
the lock is open, slide out shackle

I have a Miller Standard Time lock like pictured in previous post. I see the shackle is removed from the body of the lock. Mine is also removable. I assumed it is broke but wonder now I see this other like it. Does the shackle remove from all of these or are these broke?

Yup it’s broke. Anyone ever find a way to fix this.

Actually the one in the picture above isn’t broken. It was a bicycle lock and the multiple notches in the shackle were a way to adjust the length of the shackle when locked Just be careful not to insert it fro he wrong side/end as you may not be able to remove it.

I remember a long time ago about looking inside the hole as should see the wheel turn. By turning the dial to line up on number as inside the shackle hole the wheel should line up. All I know that once you see the wheel line up you have to add or subtract. Keep this in mind don’t put the shackle in the lock or you may never get it open….Timothy…

Whoops my mistake I was looking at the thumbnail on my phone I didn’t enlarge it yes that is for sure not broke.

The one I have is just a regular one and it pulls out too. The pointed end and the beveled notch above it looks like it was made to push aside a flat spring retainer and snap into the notch. The piece of flat worn mangled metal retailer you see in the picture was in the lock.

Thought maybe someone here had one like this and was able to find a easy way to repair it.
