Hello all. I felt it important to note that May 1 is the reopening of the American Lock Museum in Terryville. Interestingly, there is an auction in town on May 2. It is an estate auction at the most interesting home of an old collector. This gentleman collected early clocks, historic to the Terryville and Plymouth Hollow areas in Connecticut (Early 1800s). He was also apparently a lock collector. I don’t have details of his collection, but do have confirmation that his lock collection will be up for auction. Tim’s Antiques in town is administering the auction. Check Tim’s website. He shows a few of the locks. The clocks are unbelievable.
I have a commitment and can’t make the auction, but figured I’d share the info with other collectors.
Regards,
George
