Unusual Yale pin tumbler padlock

Here’s an interesting Yale 4 pin tumbler lock that looks like a lever tumbler.
Does anyone know anything about this lock?

Wow, never seen one quite like that. JD is the keyway but I can’t locate the code.

JD designated Yale’s JD small pin tumbler keyway using .40″ dia. plugs. This is a multiplex system (Yale’s term was “Surety”) using nine keyways JA-JK all of which are passed by the JMK master-key. Made in 4, 5 and 6-pin versions, 4-pin was called 10-½, 5-pin 13-½ and 6-pin 12-½. The letter code was suffixed to the key number to order key blanks. 372 is a valid code from which a 4-pin key could be cut using the 10-1/2JD blank. See thumbnail attached.

Hi Rick. I have one that is similar to yours. The one I have has a very odd luster. Does yours display the same pattern when it catches the light a certain way? I hope my picture demonstrates the luster pattern. Thanks!

I can’t really see the “luster” in this photo.
However, this looks like a different lock than mine which
has additional pieces for the cap and base.

The Yale JA-Jk multiplex was designed Oct. 7, 1904 and is still in use today.
