help dating this lock

I found this lock while metal detecting my in-laws yard. it was packed with mud. no key but a spring is missing so tipping back and forth locks it. any info will help. Thanks 🙂

I don’t see any sign of it in the 1927 Eagle catalog, probably shortly after that (guessing).

Thanks for the help. Another thread said 3 rivets means made before 1930. So ur help really narrowed it down. Thanks again 🙂

I found an image in Eagle Cat. 31 of No. 04610 which looks like yours, see thumbnail attached. My PDF catalog is undated but I’m guessing ca.1900.
