Information about Yale Push Key Locks.

Hello,

Here are a couple questions about 2 Yale Push Key padlocks.

For the lock showing the 4 pin chambers; does anyone know
why the chamber furthest from the key is larger than the others?
The the first 3 chambers measure .115 & the large chamber measures.145 inches.
The small push key lock has an extremely small area inside the
shackle. What where these locks used for and why the small
shackle area.

I noticed that the fourth hols appears damaged but the damage doesn’t seem to be the cause of the larger diameter. Yale makes two sizes of pin tumblers, .115″ and .128″ but the .128″ pin wouldn’t require a .145″ hole. What size pin was in that fourth chamber?

Smaller shackles were typically used to make them harder to cut when locked onto a hasp.
