Chubb seal lock?

Does anyone know whether Chubb ever made a seal lock like the Hobbs or the Walsall?

I think I’ve seen one, but I think it was probably a prototype / sample for the customs lock tender at the time. I don’t recall such a lock being in catalogues of the time as a standard production item.

What is a “seal lock” if I may ask? I can imagine what it does but have never seen one. A picture would be nice if anyone has one 🙂-:

A seal lock was used in customs and excise service. A paper s inserted under the cover, which is torn when the key is inserted.

Apparently some had the cover/seal holder held in place simply by the locked shackle, and some covers had to be released with a different key.

Interesting stuff, I always learn something new here!
