What is this old lock i have and how old is it only found one other known example .

I think but am not sure, someone else may correct me, but I think this lock was made before the Civil War……..It is called a screw key lock…. Do you have the key?
India faked a lot of screw key lock’s, but This one looks pretty good to me.

i believe you are correct that it is pre-civil war do you have any idea of value i only know one other person in the worl that own the sister to this lock his name is neil pylant see this link its the first lock in the list http://antique-padlocks.com/rr_b&o.htm
