Once the lock is open, the side opposite of the key where the shackle end sits is a nut. You should find marks on the inside of the shackle hole that should have 4 points. This is from the tool to put the nut on. An allen works in a pinch but you will have to tap it in to get a bite. Standard thread pattern. Once the nut is off the spring should slide and the cylinder will come out⌠have a follower handy. The pins and drivers should be paired so donât mix them up.
As for cleaning, this should be a cast iron body so soda blasting works well but the finish of the lock will change. If you have no plans of selling it wonât matter but then we all know where I stand on this issue. Spray lacquer will keep it from rusting.
