Seeking help identifying an antique padlock from Australia with initials G T

Can you please help me identify this padlock, with an attached chain, which is Australian and has the letters G T on it. The shape of the key is triangular. I suspect that G T may be “Government Transport” or something similar. Thanking you in advance. Mark Tedeschi. Sydney, Australia

Not really sure about this lock as most time went I see any lock with chain as they use for Bike or Auto Tire Lock. This is just my guess. As is a nice lock hoping maybe someone can come up with something..

Maybe add two more thing as using for Motorcycle lock or as gate lock…🙁smirk):

This is a simple, standard key for all locks made like that, so it would not be suitable for locking a valuable thing up.
It is really a padlock version of what we call a budget lock.
It would have many uses.
