eagle lock display sample

i recently acquired an eagle lock display sample (estate sale in terryville ct.) ½ mile from original factory site, assuming person was employed there, would only make sense. it is a surface mount deadbolt with thumb turn and slide button on inside, cylinder on outside. nicely mounted on a small wooden pedestal (white) all corners nicely angled, with a brass silkscreened? plate on top that reads:
THE EAGLE LOCK COMPANY, subsidary of BOWSER, INC. TERRYVILLE CONN. USA

CABINET LOCKS LUGGAGE HARDWARE
NIGHT LATCHES BOLTS AND NUTS
PADLOCKS SCREWS

NEW YORK CHICAGO PHILADELPHIA

red eagle in center, (above CHICAGO) front has small brass plate on bottom 3539
BCB
i assume that’s model #

key and cylinder same as used nowadays 5,6? pin

wondering if anyone can date this for me and approx value as i’m sure they made many of these locks but surely not as many display samples, it is VERY GOOD condition.

A picture would help !

It maybe much more common that you think, these sales displays would have probably gone into every Eagle lock dealer in the entire country - Thats a lot of locksmiths & hardware stores !

i realize it is not rare and probbaly not worth more than 50 bucks (i have been collecting a little of erything most of my life, started w/grandmother taking me to flea markets) was just curious for some good info. i will try to figure out how to upload a pic since i am new to this forum.

Just some background - Eagle was purchased by Bowser in 1943 and sold it in 1960 so your lock must date from that period.
