I think they are meant to be Squirrels ….
I’ve seen the trade mark before but the makers name escapes me at the moment, it is an english maker.
As to age, not much, It’s stamped and folded my guess would be 1960’s or so.
Value - exactly what you paid - locks are only worth what people are prepared to pay ! It’s not a rare or special lock with an established market price.
