Still unpacking but did get as far as the different versions of that Medeco padlock. As you can see in the image, the one on the left was the very first production and didn’t have any anti-drill pins. Back in those days the military did testing of padlocks in Natick, MA and I carried six of that original production there for the pull test to be conducted on their Instron machinery. That lock didn’t fail until 5700 pounds of pull. The drill test is where it failed and that is the reason the anti-drill pins were added. Regretfully i don’t have the middle versions with more pins added to each iteration, only the last version with the 17 pins. I have two because the one in the middle had the outside polished before plating.
