Help with bronze lock/key, hand-forged

This has been in the family for quite a long time and we’re doing a clean-out. Can someone please help me identify this?

Works perfectly with original key. I just gave it a very light cleaning and it appears to be bronze. Appears to be entirely hand-forged with toolmarks etc. Barrel key. 2 ½″ high by 1 ¾″ wide approximately. Key is 1 ¾″ long.

I assume there are no markings anywhere on the lock ?

It is very likey to be hand made, most locks were.
