I have a JB Miller lock that I can’t crack. I tried to do it by brute force, because after four clicks it’s gone all the way around and makes a sound like it’s resetting to the beginning of the “maze.” And no matter what combo I try, I can’t go further left than my starting point, so the number of possible combinations is pretty limited, if I’m understanding it right. It’s in good shape, but it must be fairly old- it’s pre-Gougler and says patent pending on the back, so it’s possible that it’s just not working. I think the number on the shackle is 488, but it’s hard to tell. One of the 8’s really looks like a 3, but that would mean I’ve got it upside down, and if I flip it over I’m not sure what else the 4 could be.
I’ve also got a Slaymaker I’m looking for the combo for, but I’ll try to find the right thread to post that one in.
