Harvard 6 Lever push key padlock

I have the above padlock but no key. I am also new to padlocks… is there any way i can find a key for this…it has been in the family since new so I would really like to find a key. Thanks

A competent locksmith should be able to fit a key without disassembly. Once picked to the open position it is a matter of measuring to produce a working key. The hardest part of the whole process will be obtaining the blanks to make the key from.

Blanks can be had thru any locksmith. I bought some a year ago from my distributor. The hardest part will be finding a locksmith that can fit the key. We are not common. Be sure to ask if they can fit key WITHOUT taking the lock appart.

I have the ability to fit a key without drilling or destroying lock. Send the lock and I’ll make a key. I don’t have original blanks. Or if you are a clearstar member you can see how it is done under resources.

I bought a box of those blanks some time back and the plating on them was so thick that they wouldn’t enter the keyway slot for the key. Maybe that problem doesn’t exist any more, YMMV.

I have never had a thickness problem. Sometimes the width is too wide which does not represent a problem. My ILCO T131 measurements: .040 thick x .330 wide.
