vault door for sale in France

Hi gentlemen, very surprising in my quest of safes to fall on this vault door from the parisian george V hostel ! 100 000 euros price tag. Unfortunately i do not have the amount and logistic to move. no detail on the weight but i think something between 15/20 tonnes ? no idea on the manufacturer.
funny the location of the door with farmer tools and tractor all arround

I believe this door was made by York. It is a little unusual to see a US door in Europe, but there are a few other examples (a lovely Mosler door is in the Monoprix at 60 Av. des Champs-Élysées for example). It is also sad to see it has been removed.

Wylk the gallery of champs élysées is now occupied by a virgin megastore, by chance they have keep the beautiful round door you thinking (seem to be Hamilton manufacturer)
another beautiful round door on Paris is the “agence centrale société générale” attached a schematic of the impressive instalation (for a small country as France obviously) made by Fichet in 1900 and clearly based on american round door concept, no hi def photos but finishing details looks fine.

The Virgin Megastore in Paris closed around 2013 along with most of their stores worldwide. Wikipedia states that by “2015, current operations are exclusively in the Middle East and in North Africa, consisting of approximately 40 stores.” According to Google Earth street view images, the space is now a Monoprix.

The door is etched “THE MOSLER SAFE CO.” on the left (the company that made the door), and “HAMILTON, OHIO, U.S.A.” on the right (location of the company).

Yes, the Fichet door is beautiful!

yes Wylk you are right, now a Monoprix and a shame because the door is still here but awful integration !

All nice. The first looks just like one I rebuilt for a bank in St. Charles, MO. I would not feel comfortable opening it like that on a stand though. They all look like ones I have restored in the past, but too bad about the rust and pitting on the one in the display. They should keep their hands off if they aren’t going to maintain them. Just sayin’.
