Tann smoker

Anyone have any info as to which Tann safes were fitted with the smoke tubes in either door, body or both. Or any details as to what period these were fitted and compositions of the chemicals involved etc.
In he UK we seem to come across these on the bankers cash safes, but wondered if any one had any more specific information.

Doesn’t look promising. The smoke chemical was supplied by Brocks Fireworks in Sanquhar with a code name something like K4. All before my time with Tann.
It was also used in some Monolithic Night Safes and Strong Room Doors as would have been mentioned in the respective brochures as anti-thermic.
Service men had to attend to swelling of doors around the world where the the chemical in ruptured tubes reacted with the concrete reinforcement.
Didn’t think I knew all that until you stirred my memory!

Cheers, I had seen that previously, it may have been based on an article in SAVTA by Brian Hignett, not sure. But the stuff we see the smoker tubes in over here has no s and ss designation on the serial numbers. I suspect it was on bullion and bankers cash ranges or at least some of them, but don’t know what else.
Also I have seen the single s as meaning body tubes rather than door tubes only as that article suggests.
