I visited the Old Treasury in Melbourne ( http://www.oldtreasurybuilding.org.au/ ) built around 1860 and made some photos.
The basement has many solid rooms. The doors vary from steel mesh doors with padlocks to solid steel doors with double locks. I estimate the steel plate thickness to be a bit over halve an inch on the more solid doors. The keys to the locks do not exist anymore.
