Gary Stephenson Was moving an old safe today and emptied it before shifting it, I knew these locks were in there, but it had been a while since I looked at them, so had a nosy and thought I would post up some pictures. Hobbs protector with the Milners keyway.
Gary Stephenson Some Chatwood combination locks, Including a Sam dummy dial which I have not seen before. Still had the bits of original literature that was used as lock packings.
Gary Stephenson A Milner reverse action that unfortunately has been drilled, Don’t see many of these, was there a particular reason they did the reverse action design and did they all have the little pivoting bolt stump?
Gary Stephenson Looking at those pictures again I am now thinking that whoever drilled that did it when it was already in the unlocked position
Huw Eastwood Great find some really nice safe locks there, love that Hobb’s Protector. You have some amazing stuff squirrelled away inside old safes Gary!
Gary Stephenson Cheers Huw, I have been collecting and saving stuff for a long while and some of it is that well tucked away I haven’t seen it for years! I have quite a few Hobbs protector locks, but only one of the ones pictured.
