Timothy Here something have not see before and I’m sure there are some missing part. Any idea..??.. Look almost like Door knob. Was o eBay for about $400.00….Timothy…..
Huw Eastwood Good find Timothy, certainly don’t see or hear of them very often, there was also a similar Bramah-Schneider with similar keys and an even weirder Bramah-Vago/Lips version.
Huw Eastwood Forgot to add there is a sketch of a similar unit shown in the Vincent Eras book but it’s very small to try and reproduce here. The part you’ve pictured is the main cylinder which fixes onto the front of the lock which houses the sliding dead bolt(s).
Timothy Just looking into eBay and it surprise me seeing so many differ lock popping up that never been see. That why I send it here so most can look at it. Where they been hiding at all this time good question. Wish could have money to buy it but that way over…..Timothy…..
Paul Prescott That used to be mine. Can’t recall who I sold it to or for how much. It’s from the belgian hoard of locks sold 20 or so years back (if not longer).
Paul Prescott Seems it’s come from John Errolls collection. I’m almost certain it did not go directly to him, so there was probably a step in between. Some nice stuff being sold, interesting how locks move between collectors.
