What a beautiful door, that’s bordering on perfection for me!
I’m a big fan of ‘black and brass’ and have used it to great advantage on many projects over the years- a rare combination that, when balanced just right can tastefully combine the opposing appearance of an ornate and decorated look with one of stark industrial.
Love the long trim plate for the escutcheons, and the unusual faceted finials on the hinges- don’t see that often on any doors.
There is actually a similarish door in a central bank here in Wales, not as fancy as that one but a similar size. The largest Milners door I’d seen by a long shot. Had all been painted over on the front from what I remember and had open spoked capstan hand wheels instead, but overall similar and still impressive to look at.
That Lithuanian door is off the scale though…
